WaterLinks is a regional network that supports and promotes Water Operator Partnerships (WOPs) or twinning partnerships between water and wastewater services providers in Asia Pacific to achieve improved and expanded access to safe water and sustainable sanitation through capacity building. Established in 2008 by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the International Water Association (IWA) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID), it is now an independent non-profit organization headquartered in Manila, Philippines.

Objectives of the Forum:

(i) to provide a platform for learning and debate the most recent development in solving critical urban water and wastewater efficiency problems, and

(ii) to provide a venue for sharing experiences on twinning programs.

The Forum will bring together over 200 water operators, associations, and development organisations from Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States. It will focus on key issues of growing urban water insecurity in Asia and the Pacific including non-revenue water management, wastewater reuse, water quality management, and climate change adaptation.
